Yangon - Bago - Golden Rock – Yangon

Day 01: Yangon arrival & sightseeing (by car)

• Arrive at Yangon International Airport, welcomed by a 
  Beyond Myanmar representative and tour guide.
• Check into hotel.
Afternoon tour of Yangon sites, including:
• Karaweik Hall.
• A barge ride on the Royal Lake.
• Chaukhtatgyi (Reclining Buddha) Pagoda.
• City centre with the gilded 2,500 years Sule Pagoda.
• Colonial style buildings surrounding Mahabandula Park.
• Drive through the narrow streets of China Town.
• Short visit to Tao Temple.
• Shortly before sunset, visit the 107 meter high golden stupa of Shwedagon Pagoda which glitters in the soft light of the early evening
• Overnight at hotel in Yangon

Day 02: Yangon - Bago - Kyaikhtiyo (Golden Rock) (by car)

• Breakfast at your hotel.
• Drive to Kyaikhtiyo via Bago for sightseeing.
• Visit Kyat Khet Wine Monastery, where a thousand monks take their last meal of the day at 10am in total silence.
• Visit Kanbawza Thardi Palace built by King Bayinnaung.
• Continue to Kyaikthiyo (Golden Rock), one of Myanmar’s most famous landmarks - known for its position and religious importance. Kyaikhtiyo the “Golden Rock”  is a huge boulder completely covered by gold leaf and delicately balanced on the edge of a cliff. To reach the pagoda from Kin Pun, a steep, 11km, open-top truck ride will take you part way to the lookout point. Afterwards, take a light hike to the summit through a bamboo forest.
• Enjoy the sunset on the hill top
• Overnight at the hotel in Kyaikhtiyo

Day 03: Golden Rock - Bago - Yangon (by car)

• Breakfast at your hotel then take a half hour walk to a small cave and stop at the roadside shops for an opportunity to buy unique products sourced from the surrounding jungle.
• Midmorning, drive down to the base camp and return to Yangon.
• On the way, visit the most important sights of the Old Capital of the Mon People.
• Bago sightseeing includes the Shwemawdaw Pagoda and the Shwethalyaung Pagoda (the world’s most beautiful reclining Buddha).
• Visit Handicraft Centre, Hinthargone Pagoda and the Kanbawza Thardi Palace.
• Drive back to Yangon and stay overnight.

Day 04: Yangon - Thanlyin - Yangon departure (by car)

• Breakfast at your hotel.
• One hour drive from Yangon, across Myanmar Long bridge, in the town of Thanlyin, followed by the ruins of an 18th century Potuguess church.
• Visit Kyaikmawwun Pagoda “Yelephaya” (set on an island in the river)
• Also explore two more pagodas and the riverside markets.
• Visit to Kyaikkauk Pagoda and Kyauktan local markets.
• Drive back to Yangon.
• Transfer to airport for departure.
