Day 01: Yangon arrival & sightseeing

- Afternoon tour of Yangon –
- Karaweik Hall
- Royal barge ride on the Royal Lake
- Chaukhtatgyi (Reclining Buddha) Pagoda
- City centre with the gilded 2,500 years Sule Pagoda
- Colonial style buildings surrounding Mahabandula Park
- Drive through the narrow streets of China Town
- Short visit to Tao Temple
- Shortly before sunset, visit the 107 meters high golden stupa of Shwedagon Pagoda which glitters in the soft light of the early evening
- Overnight at hotel in Yangon
Day 02: Yangon - Bago - Kyaikhtiyo (Golden Rock) (by car)
- Breakfast at your hotel
- Drive to Kyaikhtiyo and on the way, stop by Bago for sightseeing
- Visit Kyat Khet Wine Monastery, where a thousand monks take their last meal of the day at 10am in total silence
- Kanbawza Thardi Palace built by King Bayinnaung
- Then continue to Kyaikthiyo (Golden Rock), one of Myanmar’s landmark - famous for its position and religious importance. Kyaikhtiyo the “Golden Rock” a huge boulder completely covered by gold leaf and delicately balanced on the edge of a cliff. To reach the pagoda from Kin Pun, a steep 11km road leads to the upper staging point by an open trunk. Take a light trekking on the summit through bamboo forest

Day 03: Kyaikhtiyo (Golden Rock) - Thaton - Mawlamyine (by car)
- Breakfast at your hotel
- In the morning same way back to Kinpun. Then about 2 hours drive to Thaton. Long before rise of Bagan. Thaton was an important center of Mon-civilization, that stretched from the delta of Ayeyarwaddy River to Thailand and Cambodia, the center of co-called Golden Land “Suvannabhmi” from here Buddhism came to Bagan when Thaton was conquered by King Anawratha, the founder of Bagan dynasty in 1057
- Visit the golden Pagoda Shwe Zayan, was built during the early Mon area, famous Standing Buddha shows similarity with Dvaravati-period Buddha in central Thailand
- Continue the drive through beautiful landscapes further south to Mottama (Martaban), where Thanlwin River empties into the Gulf of Martaban. Aboard a double – Decker passenger ferry you will cross the river towards Moulmein, now Mawlamyine, served as capital of British Burma from1827 to 1852. Many colonial style buildings create the atmosphere of a by-gone era and many Buddhist stupas crown the top of hill around the tropical town

Day 04: Excursion to Shampoo Island - Mudon (by boat & car)
- Breakfast at your hotel
- Start the day with a city tour
- Then an excursion by boat to picturesque Shampoo Island
- In the afternoon, drive to Mudon, where you will see a 160 meters long Reclining Buddha under construction
- Visit Setse Beach
- Return to Mawlamyine in late afternoon
- Overnight at hotel in Mawlamyine
Day 05: Mawlamyine - Phaan - Bago - Yangon (by car)
- Breakfast at your hotel
- Drive back to Yangon
- Cross the Thanlwin River (Salween) using the new bridge close to Phaan
- Arrive to Bago
- Sightseeing includes the tallest golden pagoda of the country, a huge Reclining Buddha and Kaikpun pagoda with its four sitting Buddha’s facing the cardinal corners of Earth
- Arrive in Yangon
- Overnight at hotel in Yangon
Day 06: Shopping & departure (by car)
- Breakfast at your hotel
- Morning shopping at gems mart and handicraft shops
- Visit to Bogyoke (Scott) Market for souvenirs
- Transfer to airport for departure
