Tour Ref ONT 615 - This six day tour is full of contrasts, from ascending the 2,000 meter pass of the northern mountains, a passage through the Wahiba Sands and a full day to explore isolated Masirah Island, this is truly off the beaten track.

Depart Muscat for Wadi bani Auf and explore on foot one of its picturesque villages. Continue to Nizwa for an overnight. In the morning visit the great fort at Nizwa and its adjacent souq (market) then travel into the northern Wahiba Sands to overnight in your own private camp. After a camp breakfast a traverse of this coast sand desert is made to allow an afternoon ferry crossing into Masirah Island. With two nights in the island a full day to explore is possible, or time taken to relax. After leaving the island the desert east coast will take you past small fishing communities before arriving at Ras Al Jinz Hotel where both evening and dawn Green Turtle can be taken. The final day includes a visit into the Dhow yards in Sur and beyond them a visit to a beautiful wadi; Muscat is reached in the late afternoon.

Tour Ref ONT 624 - This six day tour focus on Oman's two deserts, the Wahiba Sands and Empty Quarter.

Depart Muscat for the northern edge of the Wahiba Sands our mobile camp allows complete flexibility of overnight location for two nights. The northern Wahaiba Sands is a sea of golden sand with its southern section cascading into the Arabian Sea. Passing through the Jiddat al Harasis you will arrive into the Empty Quarter's mega dunes for a further two nights desert camping. For contrast an overnight in Nizwa is made before ascending over the northern mountains and through Wadi bani Auf to Muscat.
