Tour Ref ONT 822 - This eight day Oman Tour visits several of the major forts in Oman, makes a passage through the Wahiba Sands and has a full day to explore isolated Masirah Island, before returning to Muscat via the Green Turtle nesting site at Ras al Jinz

Depart Muscat for Sohar, visiting the forts of Nakhl and Al Hazm with its 16th century cannon collection. After breakfast visit to town centre of Sohar then travel through the mountains and visit two forts near the town of Ibri  Continue via the UNESCO site of the Tombs of Bat to Nizwa for an overnight. In the morning visit the great fort at Nizwa and its adjacent souq (market) then travel into the northern Wahiba Sands to overnight in your own private camp. After a camp breakfast a traverse of this coast sand desert is made to allow an afternoon ferry crossing into Masirah Island. With two nights in the island a full day to explore is possible, or time taken to relax. After leaving the island the desert east coast will take you past small fishing communities before arriving at Ras Al Jinz Hotel where both evening and dawn Green Turtle watching can be taken. The final day includes a visit into the Dhow yards in Sur and beyond them a visit to a beautiful wadi; Muscat is reached in the late afternoon.

Tour Ref ONT 821 - This eight day day tour takes you from Muscat to Salalah . You will travel over impressive mountains, through a golden sand desert and spend time in the ‘Land of Frankincense’.

Travel from Muscat through Wadi bani Auf, a dramatic deep canyon, with a chance to explore one of its pretty villages set under towering mountains after reaching the mountain pass descend to Nizwa for an overnight. After breakfast visit Nizwa souq (market) and its fort before continuing to the Wahiba Desert for an overnight in the golden dunes. After a camp breakfast a traverse of this coast sand desert is made to allow an afternoon ferry crossing into Masirah Island. With two nights in the island a full day to explore is possible, or time taken to relax. After leaving the island take the ferry to overnight in Duqm. An early start will take you further south and through the mountains passing Jebel Samhan to overnight at the Juweira hotel for 2 nights. The mountains to the east of Salalah will be your destination after breakfast. Frankincense trees will be seen and dramatic cliffs almost a kilometer high. Your last day in Salalah is spend visiting the UNESCO site at Al Baleed before flying out from the airport (flights not included).
