Tour Ref ONT 715 - This seven day tour takes you from Muscat to Salalah, its highlights are the route through Wadi bani Auf, the coastline east of Salalah and seeing the fabled frankincense tree - this is truly off the beaten track.

Travel from Muscat via Wadi bani Auf a dramatic deep canyon with a chance to explore one of its pretty villages set under towering mountains after reaching the mountain pass descend to Nizwa for an overnight. After breakfast visit Nizwa souq (market) and its fort before continuing to the Wahiba Desert for an overnight in the golden dunes. The following day a traverse of the desert is made followed by a drive through open country to overnight in Duqm. An early start will take you further south and through the mountains to overnight at the Marriott Mirbat. Exploring the eastern plain before Salalah including the UNESCO site of Sumhuram you will arrive at the Juweira hotel for 2 nights. The mountains to the east of Salalah will be your destination after breakfast. Frankincense trees will be seen and dramatic cliffs almost a kilometer high. You last day in Salalah is spend visiting the UNESCO site at Al Baleed before flying out from the airport (flights not included)..
