Pick up at your hotel by a private car.
Day 1: Puebla and Cholula
Travel approximately two hours, enjoying views of the Iztaccihuatl and Popocatepetl on the way. Once you arrive, visit the church of Santa María de Tonantzintla, known for its combination of Baroque and indigenous architecture and lavish decoration. Head over to Puebla, just 15 minutes away, and known as the 'City of Angels'. Take a break for lunch (own expense) to try local favorites like mole poblano or semita. Follow your guide on a walking tour of the city center, then stop at the local market for snacks and a chance to purchase some souvenirs.
Day 2: Cuernavaca and Taxco
Depart from the meeting point to Cuernavaca, where you'll visit the 16th-century cathedral, the monument to Morelos, and the Palacio de Cortés. Move on to Taxco, nestled on a hillside and filled with cozy squares and cobblestone streets. Visit some artisan shops, filled with local silver, and one of the country's grandest churches, Santa Prisca.
