HOW DO WE DO THE TREK
We pick you up at your hotel in Cusco around 03:30 a.m on our private transportation, after two hours we will arrive at Pitumarca village where we will have breakfast. Then we follow the way to Quesiyuni where we start our trek. It will take us around 3 hours to reach the amazing Rainbow Mountain.
The Rainbow Mountain also known as Vinicunca, is an spectacular place near the Ausangate Glacier (6,385 m / 20,945 ft) that is considered sacred by the local people and is one of the most important deities of the Inca culture. Since pre-Inca times the mountain has been a place of worship to make offerings, and this tradition continues today.
On this hike you will see picturesque villages, beautiful and traditional group of houses, llamas and alpacas, a contact with uninterrupted nature, enjoying the beauty of this path, this is an spectacular trip for hikers who love a true adventure outdoors.
After spending some time in the mountains to take photos and enjoy this majestic and unique natural wonder, we will descend again in Quesiyuni for lunch. Ending our tour we are going to leave you at your hotel.
