What You Can Expect

Teotihuacan Pyramids Hot-Air Balloon Tour

After morning hotel pickup from Mexico City, get ready for a one-in-a-lifetime adventure. Receive a safety briefing and then climb into a colorful hot-air balloon with your guide. Float effortlessly up into the sky, soak up the gorgeous panoramas of the Mexico landscapes and then sail over the Teotihuacan pyramids, a UNESCO World Heritage site. You’ll be in the air for about an hour, with a vehicle following your balloon below, equipped with radio communication.

Your guide points out the major landmarks of Teotihuacan, aka the City of the Gods, including the Sun and Moon pyramids, Temple of Quetzalpapalotl and the Avenue of the Dead. Click away with your camera — very few visitors will have these aerial shots of Teotihuacan.

After you land, board your vehicle that whisks you away to a place where you can commemorate your airborne adventure with a glass of wine and a flight certificate.

If you chose to take the guided Teotihuacan tour, continue to the archaeological park. In this pre-Columbian Mesoamerican city, wander down wide avenues, thousands of years old, and hear about the customs and culture of this ancient site. Remnants of fine pottery from Teotihuacan are exhibited around the world.

Enjoy up-close views of the pyramids that you saw from the air, including the Temple of the Feathered Serpent, the third-largest pyramid at Teotihuacan. Don’t miss the chance to climb up the Sun Pyramid and the Moon Pyramid.

Your tour ends with transport back to your Mexico City hotel.
